Warm Hearth Foundation’s Annual Cheeseburger in Parrot-dise Fundraiser Celebrates 10 Years of Fun and Funds for Seniors

September 12, 2024

The Village expresses heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported this event, with special appreciation to our amazing sponsors and to generous community members who donated to the silent auction. With your help, this year we raised more than $69,000—an all-time high. These contributions were a real community endeavor and will allow us to continue our work advocating, innovating and caring for seniors in our community; carrying on the mission our founders established in 1974.

For the first time the evening included a VIP happy hour before the main event. Participants enjoyed The Panjammers under a tent, and socialized with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Resident Debbie Thompson said she loved the happy hour. “I loved the band! We met some great people and we would do it again. I liked this part the best,” she said. “It was a good night for friendship and camaraderie and of course we are looking forward to next year.”

The Breakfast Club band entertained guests in the ballroom and everyone had an opportunity to bid on auction items, get “tattooed” and dance in a 360Pphoto booth with NW Party Rentals.

Over the years event partnerships have grown and this year we extend special thanks to our local business partners: AARP, Altec, Ameriprise Financial – Christine Smith, Aztec Rental, Blacksburg Pharmacy, Brown Insurance, Builders FirstSource, Captured by Carly, Carter Bank & Trust, Comfort Inn, Easy Way Packaging, Edward Jones- Brandon Cross, Edward Jones, Meghan Kuczmarski, Exper-T’s, First Bank & Trust, Functional Pathways, G&H Appliance, Grove Medical, Inc., The Hearing Clinic, Humana – Lauren Hand, LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, Marsh McLennan Agency, MatrixCare, Member One, National Bank, Remedi SeniorCare, Rocking K Construction, Sanico, Servpro,  SIA Group, Signspot, Southern Team Nissan, Stone and Kellerman, P.C., Trevor Gray and Peggy Smith, US Foods, and Wordsprint.
