Walnut Pointe Project On Hold

The Warm Hearth, Inc. Board of Directors voted to put the Walnut Pointe project on hold at their last regularly scheduled meeting on March 12th. The decision regarding the new independent living apartment homes resulted from slower-than-anticipated sales fueled in part by concerns of a looming recession, the upcoming transition in leadership of our organization and most recently, the upheaval of our society and economy surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the period of transition as current Warm Hearth President and CEO, Ferne Moschella retires later in 2020, the board and Warm Hearth staff will work alongside her successor to study the project and research opportunities relative to its development and the overall development of additional independent living residences to address demand.

We appreciate the continued support and interest of our residents, staff, board, and community in this project and in the future of Warm Hearth Village. Your input into our planning and research is invaluable and we will keep you informed as we move forward.
