Advocating, Innovating and Caring

Advocating, Innovating and Caring for Seniors in Our Community

It's through the generous support of many loyal donors in our community that we are able to maintain a commitment to the highest quality care and services for seniors. We invite you to join us in our mission to provide an inclusive, safe and nurturing environment where the contributions of our elders are valued and respected by making a gift to any of the funds below.

The Legacy Fund for Excellence

Empower Warm Hearth Village in its quest to advocate, innovate and care for seniors with your gift to the Legacy Fund for Excellence. Your unrestricted support fosters our founders’ vision by providing programs and services of unmatched quality, ensuring our community thrives for the next 50 years.

Employee Growth & Development

Over the past 50 years, we have grown and now employ more than 300 people in careers that range from nurses to groundskeepers and everything in between. Our employees are the cornerstone of Warm Hearth Village and one of our most valuable resources. We raise funds to help support employees through scholarships, training and education, and employee appreciation initiatives.

Strategic Growth & Campus Revitalization

Dr. Wybe Kroontje established a powerful mission and vision and a 100-year plan for our continued growth and development. This, combined with dutiful strategic planning by our volunteer board of directors and our staff, positions us to meet the changing needs of seniors in our community and beyond. We seek and use donated funds for land acquisition, new construction, transportation resources, improvements to infrastructure and specialty programming designed to meet the unique needs of people over 55.

Micah's Pantry

Your support of Micah's Pantry helps us fill in the gaps for our seniors with their basic, everyday needs. The pantry offers a place for residents to shop free of charge and is made possible by our generous donors and partners. It provides shelf-stable groceries, fresh produce, prepared meals, personal care items and pet food and supplies to our most vulnerable seniors. Last year, 45,000 pounds of food and fresh produce was made available to residents facing food insecurity.

Treasure Trove Thrift Store

Shop at and donate to the Treasure Trove Thrift Store to help raise additional dollars for our Legacy Fund for Excellence. Our community-supported thrift shop sells donated furniture, household items, antiques and more. The Treasure Trove Thrift Store is located at 3045 N. Franklin Street, Christiansburg and is open Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Friday 10am to 6pm.
