Warm Hearth Village Covid-19 Status Report
Kindness, patience and partnership will get us through this and we are here for you.
Updated January 22, 2021
Even though our Village is closed to visitors at this time, we are still here to help you - literally and virtually. As we continue to navigate this new normal, our commitment to you is to do whatever we can to support you, share our expertise and help those who need it most.
We are carefully monitoring all residents and employees, working in tandem with our local health department, adhering to all precautions and keeping our stakeholders informed. We remain steadfast in our commitment and confident in our ability to protect our Warm Hearth family. We applaud the diligent efforts of our employees who work tirelessly to protect our community from the virus.
Across our campus, we persistently adhere to sanitization protocols and screening practices and the village essentially remains closed to outsiders until further notice.
Warm Hearth Village has been working in conjunction with all relevant governing bodies and local health department officials to secure vaccinations for our campus since October. We are pleased to announce we now have dates for vaccination clinics for all residents and employees on campus. Personnel from Walgreens will come on campus to administer the injections on the following dates:
Independent Living residents will receive their first vaccination on Tuesday, January 19, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Village Center. Residents will be notified by telephone of their vaccination time. Dates for the second shot in the series will be provided at the clinic. Please refer to the links below if you have questions about the vaccine or about what to expect. If you have not signed up for the vaccine and are interested, please call Robbie Hickerson at (540)443-3410 as soon as possible.
Showalter Center residents and employees will receive their first vaccination on Tuesday, January 19, from 10 am to 4 pm at Showalter Center. Dates for the second shot in the series will be provided at the clinic.
Residents of and employees at Kroontje Center who have signed up for the COVID-19 vaccine will receive their first dose on Friday, January 15. The second injection for the two-part vaccine will be administered on Friday, February 5.
